Start of the new "Krone" series for the state elections on November 24: We survey Styria and its politics. We start with a look back at the last election in 2019, when there was no "shift change" in the state, but a triumph for the father of the state.

Later on, nobody asks how the victory came about: this beautiful saying from the world of sport is also justified in politics. For Hermann Schützenhöfer, the epitome of a loyal party functionary and shrewd politician by instinct, the victory was the conquest of the provincial governor's seat in 2015.
