In the middle of Carinthia, a family drama has taken place that should never have happened: Completely overburdened parents of four left their young children to be neglected - they starved, were dirty, barely learned to speak and will probably suffer from their loveless upbringing for the rest of their lives. And where was the youth welfare office?

Every trial has a long and often harrowing history. This is also the case in the proceedings against two Carinthians who have to answer to the Klagenfurt Regional Court for torturing and neglecting their own children. A look at the case shows that much of what happened to the young victims here could have been prevented.
