Road closed after mudslide

The L267 in Thomatal in Lungau will remain closed for almost a week. The reason is a mudslide that occurred above the road. The regional geologist has already been on site and inspected the area.

Thousands of cubic meters of soil started to move on a slope above the L267 and slid down onto the road. This was probably caused by the rain of the past few days. Clean-up work has already begun.

However, this will take several days. According to the state, the affected section of road will be closed for at least a week. A detour is only possible over a large area via Innerkrems, they say.
