Salzburg’s largest school project to be split up

The education campus in Salzburg-Lehen is being re-tendered in two parts.

It is the largest single project in the city's education construction program. Following the bankruptcy of the general contractor, the renovation and amalgamation of the elementary school and the construction of the new kindergarten in Lehen have been delayed, as reported. From today's perspective, completion will take around a year longer. The exact schedule also depends on how quickly the new tender for the 50 million euro project is successful.

Kindergarten construction and school renovation are now to be tendered separately. The city hopes that more companies will bid due to the smaller volume. Construction of the kindergarten is already underway. Eugendorf is also affected by the bankruptcy of the construction company. The construction of the new daycare center in Reitdorf is still underway.
