Due to hate messages and death threats, Ralf Schumacher's ex-wife, Cora Schumacher, has decided to temporarily withdraw from social networks. 

"As a result of the hate messages that have been coming out in increasing numbers following my son's statement - including death threats and calls for suicide - I am withdrawing from social media for the time being," Schumacher wrote in an Instagram story. The 47-year-old described the attacks against her as "unbearable".

Public exchange of words
Schumacher has also deactivated the comment function under her posts. After Ralf Schumacher came out in July, the former racing driver and his ex-wife had a public exchange of words. One of the central questions was when and how Cora had found out about the coming out. A few days ago, their son David made accusations against his mother on Instagram.

Ralf Schumacher is the brother of seven-time Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher and used to be a successful racing driver himself. He was married to Cora, but the couple have been separated for several years.
