Golf: Bernd Wiesberger drops back at Irish Open

Golf pro Bernd Wiesberger has finished the Irish Open in Newcastle, Northern Ireland, in 63rd place!

The Burgenland native thoroughly failed the final round (77 strokes/6 over par) at the Royal County Down Golf Club on Sunday with seven strokes lost and only one birdie, resulting in a drop of 33 places.

After four days, Wiesberger's scorecard showed 292 strokes/8 over par. Thanks to a strong performance on the final day, victory went to the Dane Rasmus Højgaard (275 strokes).

The Styrians Matthias Schwab and Lukas Nemecz had clearly missed the cut in the tournament with prize money of 6 million dollars.
