Sachslehner: Abolish climate bonus for asylum seekers!

Vienna ÖVP local councillor Laura Sachslehner is calling for the climate bonus for asylum seekers to be abolished. "The fact that the climate bonus is still being paid out to asylum seekers is unfair and anti-social. It is completely incomprehensible that people who may not even stay in Austria are paid such benefits," criticized Sachslehner on X.

Sachslehner is calling for a comprehensive reform of the climate bonus and the discontinuation of benefits for asylum seekers to be included in the next government program.

"This unjust system must not be allowed to continue. Instead of financing an additional pull factor with the climate bonus for asylum seekers and thus attracting even more people to Austria, we finally need a determined fight against illegal migration and proper relief for the actual service providers in our country," emphasized Sachslehner. 

"It is high time that this completely misguided watering can policy, which is largely fueled by the Greens, finally comes to an end. Anything else is a mockery of the hard-working people in our country," demands Sachslehner.
