Bruno Labbadia will not be Nigeria team manager after all

The German Bruno Labbadia will not be the new national coach of Nigeria after all. This is reported by the specialist magazine Kicker. 

Nigeria's soccer association had already announced the appointment of the 58-year-old on Tuesday. However, according to Kicker, this premature step and unresolved organizational issues have now prompted the German coach to reject the offer.

Labbadia has worked in the German Bundesliga for Hamburger SV, VfL Wolfsburg and, most recently, VfB Stuttgart for the second time until April 2023. A stint in Nigeria would have been his first stint abroad.
