Another climate demonstration in Linz caused traffic jams

After the protest action on Monday, when members of Extinction Rebellion Austria blocked Waldeggstraße (Upper Austria), the Last Generation was also in action on Tuesday. Together, the two groups blocked Wiener Straße at several points from 6.30 a.m. to warn of future traffic jams caused by the A26.

Once again, a climate demonstration paralyzed morning traffic in Linz. This time, the focus of the protests was on Wiener Straße, where the activists had blocked off traffic.

According to initial reports, at least three climate activists are likely to have been involved in the action. The aim of the demonstrations: In addition to the usual warnings about climate change and demands for tougher measures, the aim was to make it clear to citizens what kind of traffic jams the A26 will cause in the city in the future.
