Roman Rafreider: Comeback in front of the TV camera

ORF presenter Roman Rafreider had to take a six-month break at the end of 2021 after appearing in the "Zeit im Bild" studio in a visibly impaired state. He then returned, but only worked behind the camera. Until recently, because these days he also made a comeback as a presenter.

In recent weeks, the 54-year-old native of Bregenz has occasionally hosted the ORF afternoon show "Aktuell nach fünf". Before that, Rafreider had already appeared in several longer interviews on the program.

It is unclear whether his recent appearances were a harbinger of more work to come. According to reports, however, there are rumors to that effect.
