Now the cow is flying in the Krone+ livestream! At Sparta Royale, professional martial artists are fighting in a boxing ring made of hay. Krone+ subscribers(get our offer here) are part of the spectacular event premiere!

Everything is ready: In Vienna's Ariana Hall in the 22nd district, a "royal" series of the top domestic organization Sparta CF enters its first round today! A maximum of 1,000 martial arts fans will be in attendance on a relatively "small" scale when professional fighters battle it out for the first time in a ring made of hay at the Sparta Royal premiere.

"No one will be given anything"
"We have put together a very balanced fight card, no one will be given anything for free," emphasizes matchmaker Renato Eni Kepi, who has brought athletes from various parts of Austria as well as Germany and the Czech Republic to the Austrian capital. For example, Ruslan Toktharov, who already fights in underground leagues without time limits or rules. A duel there is only decided by knockout or submission of the opponent. Leg-hard, brutal, bloody, absolutely not for the faint-hearted.

Sparta Royale is a more "civilized" game, although it is just as tough. There are three two-minute rounds according to boxing rules, and the referees have the option of awarding an additional bonus round to determine a clear winner. Instead of boxing gloves, however, thinner MMA gloves are worn. Hard, cracking punches are therefore guaranteed.

Sparta stands for show
"Martial arts fans will definitely get their money's worth," promises organization founder Magomed "Mago" Ozniev. Important addendum: "Everything has to be fair in a sporting sense!" The fact that Aleks "Austrian Bull" Mraovic, Khalid Ott, Daniel Matusic and co. are already verbally "fighting" with their opponents is part of the game. Big words, big show.

After all, Sparta is to be marketed (more) widely. An MMA event last year in the Wiener Stadthalle with almost 8,000 visitors already showed that top-class fight events can also reach a large community of martial arts enthusiasts in Austria. A handful of "smaller" Royale evenings are planned this year, as well as (medium) sized galas with several thousand visitors.
