Shortly after the arrival of the first two fire departments at around 1.45 a.m., a level two alert was issued and nine other fire brigades arrived. According to initial information, a hall was on fire in the parcel service area. Although the extinguishing work was complicated, the fire was out by 5.22 am.

At 1.45 a.m., two fire departments were alerted to a fire on the site of the postal distribution center in Allhaming. A short time later, a level 2 alarm was sounded, whereupon emergency services from eleven fire departments were deployed on a large scale. According to initial reports, a hall in the fleet management area was on fire.

Quickly extinguished despite difficulties
However, the fire was apparently contained quickly. The rear of the building, which was badly affected by the fire, was difficult to reach due to its location. Parts of the facade of the affected building had to be opened up. Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
