Escalation in a bar in Graz: man injured with a knife

On Sunday night, an argument between two men escalated for an unknown reason in a bar on Glockenspielplatz in Graz. A 27-year-old man seriously injured a 48-year-old man in the face with a knife. The police have now been able to arrest the perpetrator.

While the storms were raging in Graz, things escalated in a pub on Glockenspielplatz. At around 1.20 a.m. on Sunday night, a 48-year-old man from Graz got into an argument with a 27-year-old man. The cause is not yet clear.

Knife attack in the middle of Graz city center
In the course of the argument, one of the two may have become violent. Suddenly, the 27-year-old grabbed a knife and injured his opponent in the face. He then had to be taken to Graz Regional Hospital and is still receiving inpatient treatment.

Suspect turned himself in to the police
Because the suspect fled immediately after the crime, the police were on the lookout for him on Sunday. But then came the surprise: the 27-year-old turned himself in. He was arrested and is being investigated for attempted murder.
