Truck crashes into metal pillar: man (50) dead

A fatal traffic accident occurred on Friday afternoon in the Waldviertel (Lower Austria). A truck driver crashed his vehicle into a metal pillar. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.

The tragic accident occurred at around 5 p.m. in the Zwettl urban area. According to the police, the driver (50) lost control of the truck for health reasons and crashed into a metal pillar in the area of the warehouse. 

Fatal injuries
The staff there immediately carried out first aid measures. However, all help came too late for the 50-year-old. He suffered his injuries on the spot.
