Pool as a death trap for boys: parents in court

Ten minutes. No longer. But in this short period of time, a small child in Carinthia lost his life. His parents are said to have let him out of their sight - even though there was an unsecured pool in the garden. The public prosecutor's office in Klagenfurt has now brought charges against mom and dad.

It happens so quickly - just a few minutes of inattention and a small child loses its life. Experts repeatedly warn that when children fall into water, they drown silently - they go under, don't scream, barely kick, death comes mercilessly and very quietly. This is probably what happened last July in a house in Ossiach when a family lost their one-year-old boy.
