Artificial intelligence: Are we masters or slaves?

It is probably one of the most burning questions of our time: will we retain control over artificial intelligence or will we have to submit to its control? The renowned German decision researcher Niklas Keller was recently a guest in Vorarlberg - and he had some fascinating things to say on the subject.  

The extreme advances in artificial intelligence have triggered an unprecedented boom; nothing seems impossible anymore. We can have conversations with AI, it can react and act independently. AI is already being used successfully in medicine, for example for diagnoses. And yes, some claim that certain AI programs are already so advanced that they can be equated with human thinking. At the same time, however, the risks should not be underestimated and undesirable developments could have devastating consequences.
