Oh my! "Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev has had an accident on her bike. The actress has now reported from hospital after the accident. 

"How it started vs. how it's going," Nina Dobrev wrote a few hours ago with two photos on Instagram. In the first photo, the actress can still be seen in a good mood on a dirt bike, which is normally only used for jumps and not for normal locomotion. However, the 35-year-old's laughter probably died shortly after the photo was taken.

"Long road to recovery"
The second snapshot in the post was taken in hospital. The "Vampire Diaries" beauty can be seen on a hospital bed with a neck brace and a splinted knee. 

Dobrev did not reveal to her fans how the accident actually happened. In her Instagram story, however, the series actress cautiously gave the all-clear. After another photo from the hospital, Dobrev wrote: "I'm okay", but there is "a long road to recovery" ahead of her.

"First and last time"
And Dobrev revealed something else to her fans: she is certain that her "first time on a dirt bike was also her last time".

And this much is certain: whoever has the damage doesn't have to worry about the mockery. Fans made cheeky jokes about Dobrev's accident in the comments section. One fan wrote in reference to Dobrev's "Vampire Diaries" role: "Nina, you're not a vampire, you're a human."
