Bayern candidate prefers to take over England club
Another rejection for Bayern in their search for a coach! As reported by the "Süddeutsche Zeitung", sporting director Max Eberl has now also had to remove Julen Lopetegui from his list of candidates. The 57-year-old Spaniard reportedly prefers to sign for Premier League club West Ham United.
Following the rejections of national coach Julian Nagelsmann, Leverkusen's master coach Xabi Alonso, ÖFB team boss Ralf Rangnick, Aston Villa coach Unai Emery and Brighton coach Roberto De Zerbi, Lopetegui has now apparently also said no to the German record champions. The previously unassociated candidate has opted to join West Ham.
This is because current head coach David Moyes will have to vacate his post in the summer. The 61-year-old's contract will not be extended, the English Premier League club announced on Monday.
This was also confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. Lopetegui is said to have reached an agreement with English club West Ham United regarding the terms of his contract, he writes on X.

Bitter news for Bayern: According to the German newspaper "Bild", Bayern boss Eberl did not sound out whether the Spaniard would be a possible successor to Thomas Tuchel for the new season until before the Stuttgart game on Saturday.
