Mathias Honsak stays in the German Bundesliga

Offensive player Mathias Honsak is moving to FC Heidenheim from relegated Darmstadt 98 at the end of the season on a free transfer.

The 27-year-old Viennese has signed a contract until the summer of 2027 with the current tenth-placed club. Honsak joined the then second-division side Darmstadt in 2019 after several loan spells with Red Bull Salzburg and won promotion with the Lilies the previous year.

In the current season, the former U21 team player made 21 league appearances and scored one goal. His contract expires at the end of the season.
