Bayern build on “Konni Laimer feeling” against Real

Konrad Laimer has developed into a key player for Bayern in recent weeks and should also ensure success in Wednesday's Champions League semi-final second leg. Thomas Müller even goes one step further and sees a "Konni Laimer feeling" developing in the entire team.

"Progressing against Arsenal gave us the belief and the 'Konni Laimer feeling' when he chased Ödegaard like a dog," Müller joked to CBS. But there is a serious message behind the Bayern veteran's usual flippant statements. Because hardly any other player currently embodies fight and passion at the record champions as much as the ÖFB legionnaire. 

This has not gone unnoticed by Bayern fans. During the 2-2 draw against Real in the first leg at the Allianz Arena, there were repeated applause for the Austrian. The 26-year-old is not above a duel and goes the extra mile. For team-mate Müller, it is therefore clear that Laimer represents Bayern's upswing in the Champions League like no other.

Regular starting six
"It was certainly a good game from me, but that doesn't matter, it doesn't matter now. We played 2:2, so I can't care," said the midfield engine modestly after the game. Incidentally, his pass rate that evening was 97%!

"He's already played some good games for us, but I thought that was by far the best," said Joshua Kimmich, who was also full of praise. With this performance, Laimer has recently secured his place as a regular six-man. Kimmich, on the other hand, usually played as a full-back. A successful concept that should also pave the way to the final at the Bernabeu.
