Trend reversal in Bergheim
Altach not giving up the fight for the Champions League
First the 0:2 defeat away at Neulengbach, then the bitter 0:2 defeat at home against Vienna. The last two rounds of the Admiral Women's Bundesliga have not gone at all to the liking of SPG Altach/Vorderland.
No wonder the mood in the gym on Monday was not the best. "That's why we had a long talk before training on Tuesday," revealed coach Bernhard Summer. "Of course, we missed two chances to establish ourselves in second place. But just because that didn't work out, we can't give up now and let our heads drop. The season is still going on, the battle is not over yet."
Trend reversal against Bergheim
Today (14), however, it should finally work out again with a full success in the away game against Bergheim. However, they will not underestimate the team from Salzburg, who are second last in the table. "They beat Neulengbach away from home, kept up well for a half against St. Pölten and recently took a 1-0 lead in Dornbirn," recalls Summer. "We've definitely been warned and have the utmost respect for them."
