AK SERVICE TIP
Know how: Be careful when buying at trade fairs
Springtime is trade fair time: many trade fair visitors are often persuaded to sign contracts with supposedly cheap offers that they regret afterwards. But beware: if you sign a contract at a trade fair, you cannot withdraw from it.
It's like signing a contract in a store. This means that a signed contract must be adhered to, even if you subsequently discover cheaper offers from other companies.
Supposedly cheap offers are intended to support a spontaneous purchase. You should not allow yourself to be put under pressure and take your time to compare - even outside the trade fair.
Don't let yourselfbe put under pressure
Many trade fairs run over several days so that you can sleep on your decision. If you want to keep your right to withdraw from a trade fair purchase open, you can agree this contractually with the seller. You should also check the location of the company beforehand. Foreign companies could charge high travel and service costs and the handling of any warranty claims could cause difficulties.
If there are any uncertainties, affected consumers should contact AK Steiermark.
