Suri Cruise celebrated her birthday with flowers in her hair
Katie Holmes is considered a style icon of New York street style: now she has competition from her own family. Just in time for her 18th birthday, daughter Suri Cruise, who is in a relationship with Tom Cruise, has become an It girl with flower power.
The latest photos show the newly turned 18-year-old, who looks like a perfect blend of her parents, on her birthday on April 18, with hands full of bouquets of flowers that she is carrying home from a flower market in New York.
Wearing loose jeans with a belly-baring gold top and a cropped college jacket, she was casually casual with a coffee mug in one hand and the flowers in the other, an oversized denim jacket draped over her arm and a gold pendant necklace dangling around her neck.

What you can't see from the front: As a special accessory, the only biological daughter of Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise, from whom she is estranged, had braided pink flowers into her hair.
These went perfectly with a pink umbrella, which Suri carried in a fabric bag. The 18-year-old is about to graduate from school and therefore probably also had a laptop bag, a brown handbag and a paper bag with her. Last-minute shopping before the big party, which is likely to have gone ahead on Friday.
Not in the spotlight
Suri was one of the most photographed celebrity children in the world as a toddler. But while she grew up without her father, she was deliberately kept out of the limelight by her mother.
This was no coincidence, as Holmes emphasized in an interview with Glamour in 2023: "It was very important to me to protect my daughter because she received so much attention at an early age. I'm grateful to be her mother. She is a remarkable person."
No contact
Suri is considered to be very creative, reportedly wants to study design and is said to have applied to study fashion.
She and her father Tom Cruise are said to have had no contact with each other for many years. The actor was also reportedly not in the USA for her special birthday, but was filming in London.
