Runners beware:

Cool weather at the Vienna City Marathon

The runners at the Vienna City Marathon will start the race in cool weather on Sunday. As the meteorologists from Geosphere Austria forecast on Friday, the temperature is expected to be five degrees at 9.00 am and seven degrees at 11.00 am. 

The highest temperature will be ten degrees at 14:00. The clouds will only let the sun through from time to time, but it should remain dry.

Wind
"It can be quite windy on some parts of the route," the experts also warned. The main wind direction in Vienna on Sunday will be north to northwest with an average of ten to 20 km/h. However, the wind peaks can reach 30 to 50 km/h.
