Accident while gardening in Putzleinsdorf (Upper Austria): A 39-year-old woman from Mühlviertel was helping her husband (41) cut a branch from a fruit tree on Friday afternoon, but one of her hands got caught in the chainsaw's chain blade.

The couple took advantage of the warm weather on Friday to do some gardening work, which ended in a serious accident at work. A 41-year-old man wanted to cut a branch from a fruit tree with a chainsaw. He was assisted by his wife (39), who wanted to pull the branch aside.

To hospital by helicopter
However, according to the police, one of the Mühlviertel woman's hands got caught in the chain blade - her little finger was severed and she also suffered a cut on the ball of her hand.

After receiving emergency medical treatment, the rescue helicopter flew her to the accident hospital in Linz.
