412 applications for vaccination damage approved so far

412 applications for corona vaccination damage have been approved in Austria so far. 

This was announced by Health Minister Johannes Rauch (Greens) on Friday in the Federal Council's "Question Time". In 78 cases, compensation was paid in the form of a pension, while the majority of other cases were settled with a one-off lump sum.

Recognition rate is low
A total of over 2300 applications were submitted. 17.8 million vaccine doses were destroyed because they were no longer fit for purpose. Rauch stated that the costs for disposal amounted to a good 129,000 euros.

These were the reasons
The most frequently reported injuries include fatigue, fever, aching limbs, headaches, dizziness or circulatory problems, nausea, numbness of limbs, swelling or pain at the injection site.

According to the Ministry, claims were also made for damage in the form of thrombosis, myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle), pericarditis (inflammation of the pericardium), Guillain-Barre syndrome, embolisms and chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS).
