22-year-old thrown from car in accident: Dead

A terrible accident on Thursday morning in Heiligenberg. A 22-year-old man was thrown out of his car in a collision and died on the spot from his serious injuries. Particularly dramatic: the emergency services knew the victim personally. His parents were also at the scene.

A 36-year-old man from Andorf was driving his company car on the L1210 Leithenbachstraße towards Waizenkirchen in the municipality of Heiligenberg at around 06:50 on Thursday. At the same time, a 22-year-old from Eschenau im Hausruckkreis was approaching the junction with the L1210 Leithenbachstraße on the Holzhumer goods road in his company vehicle.

Thrown out of the car
When the 22-year-old turned onto the L1210 Leithenbachstraße, he collided with the 36-year-old's car. Both vehicles came to a halt in an adjacent field due to the force of the collision. The 22-year-old was thrown out of his car in the accident and came to rest in a meadow.

Parents were at the scene
Two uninvolved drivers following behind started the rescue chain and provided first aid. Despite immediate resuscitation measures, the emergency doctor was unfortunately only able to determine the death of the 22-year-old. The 36-year-old was injured to an indeterminate degree and was taken to Wels Hospital after receiving first aid. The crisis intervention team had to take care of the emergency services and the parents of the deceased who were present.
