Looking for Easter nests and eating colorful eggs is one of Austrians' favorite traditions. 40 percent of Austrian consumers give colored eggs as gifts. One in two people have at least one egg with their loved ones during the holidays. Consumption during the Easter period is correspondingly high. Around 60 million eggs are sold, eaten and cooked.
