Another injury drama for superstar Andy Murray
Another serious setback for Andy Murray! The 36-year-old Scot suffered a serious ankle injury in the third round of the ATP Masters event in Miami - and is now facing another lengthy forced break shortly before the end of his career.
"I will see an ankle specialist when I return home to take the next steps," Murray wrote: "This is obviously a tough blow and I will be out for a long time. But I will be back with a hip and no ankle ligaments when the time is right."
His anterior ankle ligament and heel bone ligament have been affected, according to reports. That means a break of at least six weeks for the already injury-plagued tennis star!
Bitter! The 36-year-old had held out the prospect of ending his career after the summer. His last goals were to compete at the Olympic Games in Paris and at Wimbledon. But now these plans may have to be revised. The Grand Slam tournament in London starts on July 1. Murray has already won the grass court tournament twice.
