Vinicius Junior burst into tears at a press conference of the Brazilian national soccer team on Monday. He had previously spoken about racism in soccer. The Real player explained that it was a burden for him and that he was becoming sadder and sadder as a result.

"I feel sadder and sadder, I'm less and less willing to play," explained the 23-year-old, eventually breaking down in tears. There was immediate encouraging applause for the Brazilian international in the press room.

Hoping for a sign
Unfortunately, racism is an issue that exists all over the world, explained the attacking player. Racist chants and hostility can also often be heard in stadiums. "Spain is not a racist country, but there are a lot of racists and many of them are in the stadiums," said Vinicius.

However, leaving Real is not an issue for him, as he would only be giving all the racists what they want anyway. Tomorrow, the Real player will face the Spanish national team with Brazil at the Bernabeu in Madrid and hopes to send out a strong signal against racism.
