Serious tractor accident in Schöder near Murau

There was a head-on collision between a tractor, an escort vehicle and a car in the district of Murau (Styria) on Sunday afternoon. An 18-year-old was seriously injured. 

A tractor driver (18) and his 16-year-old co-driver, both from the district of Murau, were traveling from Schöder towards Ranten at around 1.30 p.m. on Sunday. Behind the tractor was a car as an escort vehicle. As the two vehicles were about to turn into a driveway, a following car driver (24) started an overtaking maneuver. This resulted in a collision with the two vehicles in front of her.

Injured in hospital
The tractor driver was seriously injured and his passenger was slightly injured. Around 21 firefighters from the Schöder fire department and the Murau ambulance service were involved in the operation. The two injured persons were taken to the LKH-Judenburg by the ambulance service.
