Like father, like son! The new Wolfsburg coach Ralph Hasenhüttl will in future be supported by his son Patrick, who will take up the post of assistant coach. Just yesterday, the 26-year-old declared the end of his active soccer career for health reasons and terminated his contract with third-division club Hallescher FC.
Craig Fleming will also be Hasenhüttl's assistant in future. The two know each other from their time together at Southampton FC; the 52-year-old was a member of the English club's coaching team from 2015 to 2022.

"The team will be supported until further notice by Rainer Widmayer, who has acted as an interface to the academy in the transitional area since September last year," VfL Wolfsburg also announced.
The new coach's instructions were loud and clear from the very first training session.
Hasenhüttl will celebrate his Bundesliga comeback on the Easter weekend against Werder Bremen.
