Serious traffic accident involving a pedestrian and a truck

A serious traffic accident occurred in Vienna on Tuesday afternoon. A 70-year-old woman who was walking was hit by a truck.

The collision between the 70-year-old pedestrian and the truck occurred in Sandleitengasse in Ottakring. The woman was hit by the truck and seriously injured.

By helicopter to hospital
The injured woman received initial emergency medical treatment from the Vienna Emergency Medical Services and was then taken to hospital by helicopter.

The area around the scene of the accident was closed for some time. Investigations into the exact course of the traffic accident are ongoing.
