Driver allegedly raped woman – arrest

A terrible incident in Vienna: It has only now become known that a woman was allegedly raped by the driver of a transport company in December last year. The 49-year-old suspect has now been arrested. The investigation is ongoing.

According to information from the "Krone" newspaper, the woman ordered a car from the Bolt transport company in Floridsdorf in the late afternoon of December 13, 2023.

Driver did not drive to the desired address
However, the driver allegedly did not take her to the desired address. He allegedly prevented her from getting out and used force to coerce her into sexual acts.

The woman filed a complaint after her ordeal. The 49-year-old Serbian was identified last Wednesday. He was not previously known to the police. The man was arrested on suspicion and is being held in a prison. The case is now with the Vienna public prosecutor's office.
