Container classes instead of a meadow to play soccer. There were loud protests against this at the Kagran secondary school on Wednesday. The "Krone" was on site and spoke to those affected. Many are particularly annoyed by the poor communication.

The container classes have caused great resentment among parents. On Wednesday, the first of several protests took place on the sports field at Kagran secondary school. Because this is exactly what has to make way for the mobile classes. The "Krone" was at the protest and asked around.

"We now know that it's not just migrants, but communication has simply gone completely wrong," criticizes principal Mario Matschl in an interview with the "Krone" newspaper. He continued: "If we had spoken to the head teachers in advance, I am convinced that we would have found a fair solution and distributed the children fairly across all schools in Vienna. As it is, we are the only middle school.

Many questions remain unanswered, the most pressing of which is where to find the teachers for the additional nine to twelve classes. "We're already four colleagues short now, what will it be like in the fall?", complains Matschl. Then they would try to fill the gaps with lateral entrants again, but he hasn't only had good experiences with this in the past. "They simply lack the pedagogical training," says the principal. 

We already have problems with the young people, not least because of the noise, and it will only get worse if more of them come.

Local residents also came to the demonstration. "I'm campaigning to keep the sports field, I use it too," says Michael Loreen. And Vera Militano also lives directly opposite the sports field. She also fears negative effects from the container class. "We already have problems with the young people, also because of the noise, and that will only get worse if more are added," says the Danube native. In addition, the traffic concept was not designed for so many people.
