After a 6:1 gala
Fulminant Pioneers are burning for the equalizer
Few believed that the Pioneers Vorarlberg would be able to strike back against the KAC. However, the Ländle-Cracks proved everyone wrong with their 6:1 away win in Klagenfurt and even have the chance to tie the playoff quarter-final series 3:3 in front of their own fans on Wednesday (19:30).
"We haven't changed much," explained Pioneers coach Dylan Stanley after his Cracks' brilliant 6:1 win in Klagenfurt, with which Pallestrang and Co. made an impressive comeback in the quarter-final play-off and cut the deficit to 2:3 in the best-of-7 series. "But I think we were able to convert the chances that haven't found their way into the net so far in this series," continued the successful Feldkirch coach. "But it could have turned out differently. Big praise to the special teams and goalie Alex Caffi."
Spannring is back in the game
The Pioneers fans will therefore be able to enjoy another home game tonight. As in the fourth game, the Vorarlberghalle should be sold out to the last seat. In addition, Stanley can once again plan with Patrick Spannring and thus four complete forward lines. "That's hugely important for us," says youngster Tobias Reinbacher. "Spani brings a brutal amount of energy to the ice and pulls the whole team along with him."
