Screams from Viennese disco: woman attacked staff

Police were called to a club in the center of Vienna on Sunday night because of a loudly screaming, aggressive woman. According to witnesses, the 24-year-old woman attacked several members of staff at the disco. She also attacked an officer. The suspect was arrested. 

Several attempts to calm the young woman from Germany were unsuccessful, according to the police. The 24-year-old then even tried to flee across the ring road.

However, this failed, whereupon the suspect began to kick one of the officers. "The 24-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted resistance to public authority and multiple attempted assaults," the police subsequently stated on Monday. 

None of the employees were injured in the incident and the police officer was also unharmed.
