“Hanebauer” has the best bacon in Austria

This year is a special year for the "Hanebauer" in Weitensfeld: the popular Buschenschank, which opens on March 27, is 30 years old - opened by Christine and Hansi Kraßnig in 1994. And the "Hanebauer" is now even selling the best bacon in Austria for the first time! On Friday, it was awarded the Speckkaiser trophy.

The "Hanebauer" has been a popular address in Carinthia for decades - now Hansi Kraßnig even has the best bacon in Austria. "The award was presented on Friday at the AB-HOF trade fair in Wieselburg, the Gurktaler luftgeselchte Karreespeck won out over 700 competitors. "This is the first time we have received the Speckkaiser trophy," says the senior chef proudly.

Easter comes at just the right time. "We are delivering Easter snacks throughout Carinthia again this year. Easter ham, smoked sausages, honey-crusted ham, beef and pork tongues, eggs and much more are available," says Kraßnig. "We have been delivering to your doorstep free of charge for the fourth year running." All farm products are home-grown and have won multiple awards and prizes.
