20,000 euros per month: top prize goes to Tyrol

EuroDreams" made several Austrians happy on Thursday evening. They now receive monthly payments.

Austrian Lotteries has been offering the "EuroDreams" betting slip game in its range since November last year. Austria shares the prize payout with France, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland.

The game formula is "6 out of 40" plus "1 out of 5", i.e. you tick six numbers between 1 and 40 as well as a "dream number" between 1 and 5. Several winning ranks come into play - and on Thursday a Tyrolean (the winner has not yet come forward) won the highest rank.

The prize: from now on, this man or woman will receive 20,000 euros net per month, twelve times a year, for 30 years. That's a whopping lottery win of 7.2 million euros. Incidentally, the prize was won with a single quick pick, valid for four rounds.

Luck was generally kind to Austria on Thursday. Another participant dusted off second place, with at least 2,000 euros per month, limited to five years.
