Should Vinicius Jr. have seen red before Real goal?

A goal wrongly disallowed for offside and now an unpunished assault - RB Leipzig must still be annoyed after their second clash with Real Madrid in the Champions League round of 16! Once again, a German team was not exactly favored by the referees at international level ...

What happened: Leipzig, who had already put up a great fight against the big favorites Real Madrid in the first half of the match, as they had in the home game, also started the second 45 minutes with great verve. With so much verve that it slowly but surely began to frustrate the Real stars.

Marc Janko: "I would have given him a red!"
So did Vinicus Junior, who clashed with Leipzig captain Willi Orban on the halfway line after a foul on the latter. The Brazilian ended the altercation with a hearty grip on the Hungarian's neck and pushed him to the ground. A clear assault, you might think - referee Daniele Massa saw the situation differently and left it at a yellow card for the Real attacker ...

Much to the incomprehension of Marc Janko and Andreas Herzog, who were watching the game as experts for Sky. "I would have intervened as VAR and given him a red," said Janko - and Herzog added: "As a world-class player, you can't let yourself get carried away like that!"
