This is how much you can save with the new housing package

The black-green housing package is on the table and is intended to benefit young families in particular when building their own home. The abolition of fees should initially make visits to the notary cheaper. The "Krone" calculates how much house builders can really save. 

Another 1.1 percent land register fee here, another 1.2 percent lien registration fee there. A visit to the notary was surprisingly expensive for house builders across the country. This unpopular "surprise effect" is to be eliminated in future. With the housing package, the federal government has launched a property offensive to bring affordable four walls back within reach for young families. The real savings vary depending on the size of the building project (see chart below).
