Inter Milan beat Genoa 2:1 (2:0) on Monday to move further ahead of the chasing pack in the Italian championship and well on the way to the title. 

Coach Simone Inzaghi's team defeated Genoa 2:1 (2:0) at home on Monday and are already 15 points ahead of Juventus Turin, who lost 2:1 at champions SSC Napoli the previous day. Inter won their ninth league game of the year, with Austrian striker Marko Arnautovic coming on as a 76th-minute substitute.

Kristjan Asllani (30') and Alexis Sanchez from the penalty spot (38') gave Milan a 2-0 lead, Johan Vasquez (54') scored the equalizer.
