Sandro Platzgummer turns his back on Raiders Tirol

Footballer Sandro Platzgummer is leaving the Raiders Tirol and moving to ELF rivals Frankfurt Galaxy. The Germans made the announcement on Thursday. 

The ex-NFL player had returned to Innsbruck from New York last year, but tore his cruciate ligament there.

Platzgummer has now asked for his contract to be terminated. "It will be a special experience for me to work on my career as a doctor and at the same time play at the highest level in Europe."
