Resident escaped fire at the last second

A resident in Rußbach was very lucky on Thursday afternoon. He was able to escape from the burning and heavily smoky apartment at the last moment.

When the alarm was raised, the emergency services assumed that a person was still trapped inside, which is why level 2 was triggered.

In total, more than 80 emergency personnel from the rescue services and fire departments from Abtenau, Rußbach and Gosau were on site. It was possible to prevent the flames from spreading to other rooms in the building and the roof truss. The operation lasted around three hours
