Robbery at a post office: 2000 euros for tips

The unknown man who threatened employees with a weapon in a Viennese bank post office branch on Hütteldorfer Straße on Tuesday afternoon is still on the run. The police have now published mugshots. In addition, 2000 euros have been offered for tips.

The fugitive entered the branch at around 3.45 p.m., threatened the employees with a firearm and demanded that they hand over all the cash to him.

Escaped with money
Shortly afterwards, he fled in broad daylight with the stolen money in the direction of Linzer Straße. There has been no trace of the stranger since then. No one was injured in the incident. 

Personal description:

• Male, around 40 years old and 1.70 meters tall
• Solid build, probably of Eastern European descent
• Black trousers, black hooded jacket, black scarf with white pattern, black baseball cap with red emblem, black sports shoes with white stripes and white soles, black rucksack
• Armed with a black pistol
