Canada wants to send Ukraine over 800 drones

Canada wants to send Ukraine more than 800 SkyRanger R70 drones worth 700 million dollars to support the country in its war against Russia. This was announced on Monday by the country's Minister of Defense, Bill Blair.

"Today's announcement ensures that Ukraine has the drones it needs to detect and identify targets that are critical to Ukraine's ongoing fight. Canada will stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes," Blair said.

Ukraine wants to stop Russian use of Starlink
Meanwhile, according to its Digital Minister Mikhailo Fedorov, Ukraine is looking for ways to prevent Russia from using the Starlink satellite internet service. "We have found an algorithm and made a proposal to SpaceX so that such cases do not occur," he said. The country is in contact with the company owned by US billionaire Elon Musk.

Starlink is operated by SpaceX. According to the government in Kiev, Russian troops are using Starlink terminals for communication purposes in the territories they occupy in Ukraine. Both Russia and Starlink deny this.

Selensky complains about lack of arms deliveries
In his evening video address on Monday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky complained about the lack of artillery shells, air defense systems near the front and long-range missiles. The Ukrainian head of state assured his compatriots that his government was working hard to resume aid from its Western partners. It was only at the weekend that Ukrainian forces were forced to withdraw from the city of Avdiivka.
