With exciting, hard-hitting boxing matches in a ring made of hay, the premiere of Sparta Royale was a big hit with the audience. But that was just the beginning! Krone+ subscribers can look forward to superlative boxing, MMA and wrestling fight events over the next few months.

Plan worked out perfectly
The "Spartiaten" organization broke completely new ground with the hayfights. The spectacle was to be rustic, raw, brutal and yet fair. And it was a complete success! Over three two-minute rounds, the opponents, who fought according to boxing rules but with MMA gloves, gave each other absolutely nothing. Eight fights were on offer, many going the full distance, although the evening ended rather bitterly, especially for Khalid "Willi" Ott. The last time he tore his biceps tendon was at a Sparta event - and this time:

There were also other scrapes, cuts and bruises in tough duels. "Streetfighter" Toktharov Ruslan and Zsolt Szamko put on a show, as did Joel Fratello, Arbi Chakaev and the "Austrian Bull" Aleksandar Mraovic, who contested the main fight against Slovakian Michal Suter Kamensky, who stepped in at short notice. The "Bull" was determined to put himself on display at Sparta as a challenge to "all the heavyweights out there". How did that go? Watch the duel again here:

Many more dates
The spectacular "straw format" Sparta Royale is set to receive several more sequels this year. But larger-scale fight events from various organizations - from wrestling to MMA - are also on the agenda:

• The first is the Cage Fight Series 15 on March 15 from Schwarzlsee. Krone+ has been in the corner of the top MMA event organized by the Ettl brothers for several rounds. In addition to the exclusive pre-fights, some of the fights on the main card can also be seen on krone.at. Amateurs as well as professionals who dream of the billion-dollar UFC league or are on the cusp of it will battle it out in the prestigious series in the Octagon not far from Graz. As usual, Krone+ subscribers will be able to enjoy the best quality!
• The wrestling season around Salzburg's "Krampus" starts again inApril. Krone+ subscribers, who were recently able to look through the ring ropes at a Prime Time Wrestling spectacle in Warsaw, will stay up to date.

• On April 27 , Sparta 4 will take place at the Multiversum in Schwechat! Once again, classic MMA rules will be applied in the cage. In the main event, Viennese legend and MMA veteran Attila Ucar will fight the experienced Ivo Cuk. Attila is regarded as a role model and mouthpiece for an entire community. His long-awaited ring comeback will make the hall shake! There will also be a Viennese derby in Schwechat: "Austrian" Rafael Tupy will clash with "Rapid" Patrick Rainer for the re-match of the year. The last time the "Green" was allowed to cheer, Krone+ subscribers will be the first to know whether it will be the same this time.

The organization already showed last year that Sparta can "go big". In October, 8,000 visitors gathered in the Wiener Stadthalle for a mega MMA event. Now it's time: The show must go on!
