Girl (6) fell into the depths – seriously injured

A terrible accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon in a climbing hall in Serfaus in the Tyrolean district of Landeck. A six-year-old girl fell unchecked from around five meters to the hall floor and was seriously injured.

The girl from Israel was initially enrolled in the indoor play and climbing hall and was there with her mother. Initially, the six-year-old climbed several routes independently using the self-belay system.

Falling unchecked into the depths
A short time later, disaster struck: she fell unchecked from around five meters onto the hall floor and hit the ground. According to the police, she had not hooked up the safety system during this climbing attempt and probably noticed this too late. She was seriously injured in the accident. The girl was flown to a hospital by emergency helicopter.
