Levi comes too early! Hirscher postpones comeback

Marcel Hirscher has once again postponed his return to the ski circuit. As the "Krone" has learned, the eight-time overall World Cup winner does not yet feel ready for his comeback. Levi is coming too soon, they say - so patience is still required. 

When it comes to Marcel Hirscher's return to the World Cup, waiting is still the order of the day. The neo-Dutchman would rather not take any risks, especially with regard to the upcoming Olympic season. Following his withdrawal in Sölden, the slalom in Levi on November 16 is also coming too soon, as the "Krone" has learned. 

The 36-year-old has recently been struggling with a persistent illness - so competing in Finland would not have been the right decision. The next chance for his return will therefore be in Austria. The slalom in Gurgl will take place on November 22 - perhaps with Hirscher again. 

Following his cruciate ligament rupture last December, the skiing legend is continuing to work intensively on his comeback. After there was initially speculation that he would end his career again, the eight-time overall World Cup winner made it clear: he wants to give it another go! When and where - the coming weeks will shed light on this.
