Kate wows on St. Patrick’s Day in all green

A moving moment for the whole of Great Britain! For the first time since her cancer, Princess Kate appeared again at the St. Patrick's Day parade - and delighted the Royal fans because she looked so fit and healthy! The 43-year-old even treated herself to a glass of Guinness.

 

With a beaming smile and wearing an elegant, dark green coat by Alexander McQueen, the Princess of Wales walked alongside the Irish Guards at Wellington Barracks. 

It was her first parade as Colonel of the Irish Guards - a great honor and a great responsibility. Her husband, Prince William, from whom she took over the role, stayed at home this time.

Delighted with her radiant comeback
After arriving at the barracks in Westminster, central London, Kate inspected the troops before presenting the Guard with the traditional shamrocks. The Guard's Irish Wolfhound mascot, Turlough Mór, also known as Seamus, also received a shamrock and an extra stroke from Kate - to the delight of all present!

Just last year, Kate had to cancel the event for health reasons - the shock diagnosis of cancer changed everything. But now she's back - and the UK is rejoicing! The Royal fans, many with shamrocks, were visibly delighted to see the Princess so full of life.

Guinness with the soldiers
According to the British news agency PA, Kate even treated herself to a Guinness with the soldiers after the parade - but only a small one.

They praised the Queen-to-be effusively afterwards. "She was really nice and very welcoming. I was a bit excited. You could tell she was really interested in us," said Guardsman Barry Loughlin, according to PA.

With her return, Kate is sending out a strong signal: she is fighting, she is not giving up - and the people are behind her. A truly royal moment to remember!
